I met this author at a signing in Toronto maybe two years ago. Reading this book has been well overdue. As you all know I have been struggling with reading for a couple of months. Anyway, without rambling too much about my book funk, I enjoyed Bitter Sweet Love.

Initially, I was struggling to get through the first couple of characters. I found getting to know Alexis and understanding her behaviours to why the way she was, was extremely hard. I was happy that I kept reading because the story really turn up big time!!!!!.

Alexis character is smart and loving towards her sister but she also suffers a lot of pain growing up. You could tell that she was always guarded with the people she let close to her. She owned her sexuality and I enjoyed her honesty.

Can I say how excited I was reading about places in Toronto (Can you tell that I am Canadian.). Some of the places that were mentioned I’ve visited and I found that really cool.
Overall, a good story with characters that might drive you mad sometimes. My heart was constantly racing when it came to Luc, something about him was a little off and I wanted to snap my fingers in front of Lexi and tell her to wake up. I have a love heart relationship with love triangles however this one wasn’t as bad as I thought it would turn out.

Readers beware of the cliff hanger. OMG!!! I can’t wait to dive into Book#2 this weekend.

Man I loved this book! This story twists and turns and just when you think you have it figured out it changes direction again. This story could be about anybody that has had to fight their way up from a troubled past only to hit a wall again and again. I hated the ending because now I must wait for the next instalment to find out what's going to happen. Read this book and like me you'll be waiting anxiously for the next one.
I must say, my interest waned in the first third of the book...took me a few tries to get interested, but once it got going I held on for the ride. It was slow and predictable...plus, the meaningless trysts were boring me. It ends up being a decent story with a love triangle of indecision, lust, love and evident psychological damage. I am moving on to the next book as I need to know how it ends.
Oh, la, la, this love triangle will keep you reading until the end. Get ready for a lot of twists and turns and emotions all balled up in this fun book. I immediately felt the pain of Alexis and was caught up in the moment from the first chapter. There is a lot of emotion going on in the book that may hit home for many people. The ending left me sad, mad, and wanting more and I cant wait to read the next book in the series. Great read in my opinion.
What a steamy love story with a twist. Alexis,Luc and Dylan have a love triangle that has you on the edge of your seat throughout the book.
Alexis is trying to leave her abusive past behind her but it seems to haunt her at every turn.
Dylan the dreaming next door neighbor . In love with her and is determined to be her knight in shining armor . Then you throw in the Frenchman Luc and Holy heck will break loose.
I loved this book and can not wait for the next in this series.
Highly recommended to anyone who wants a steamy twisted love story to read .

This is a story about Lexi, who was abused by her own mother. She also fell in love with Dylan, her next door neighbour, who broke her heart, or so she thought. She started partying and hooking up with men.
When she meets Luc at the frat party, she thinks of him as another hook up. But that is not what happens. She finally starts to letting him in, when a man from her past returns - the one and only Dylan. Now she must decide if she wants a guy, who she never get over or a charming Luc, with his own secrets...

I wanna know what happens next!!!!

WHAT A FANTASTIC BOOK!!!
Alexis' story is really bad story. Her father up and left her and her family when Alexis and her sister were really young. He never looked back. They still had their mother, but she became a mean and abusive drunk. Alexis took most of the beating plus she took care of her mother and little sister.
The boy next door Dylan turns out to be her knight in shining armor. He cares for Alexis when she gets beaten and even watches out for her when she dates.
7 years later, Alexis is now close to graduating college and becoming a lawyer. BUT Alexis is no long a scared girl, nope she is a slut who also bartends. She goes through guys like other people go through socks. She has walls up and no one can knock them down.
She goes to a frat party where she meets a very hot stranger. He wants to get to know her and she agrees. BUT she doesn't know what secrets he's hiding. It turns out he is more dangerous then Alexis will understand, but it's way too late
This book has been on my TBR far too long. It is hard to believe that this is RC Stephens' first book. The writing is tight and the plot, though intricate, moves quickly and pulls the reader in. This book hits lots of emotions and issues friendship, abuse,illegal activities, self-loathing, and love.
Alexis and Anna are roomies and great friends. Alexis grew up with a painful past and pushed away the love of her life. Since that day she has filled the hole in her heart with mindless hook-ups and law school; vowing to never commit her heart again. However, the lost love makes an appears, complicating Alexis' life.
Luc is intrigued by Alexis. Not a man to back away from a challenge he pursues her, finally becoming a part of her life. Both of them come from a past that would break most people,inflicted by their families, but both are survivors.Their relationship is a roller coaster of passion and conflict. The relationships well developed as are the characters. The sex scenes are steamy and emotions run the gamut from humor to pain. This is book one in the series. I cannot wait to read the rest of the story in Twisted Love
